Saturday 28 February – Saturday 7 March 2009
The end of February 2009 marks Calvary Temple UPC’s 40th anniversary. To commemorate this special milestone, a week of special evangelistic services will take place from Saturday 28 February, and will culminate in a lavish banquet for CT’s members on Saturday 7 March.
After many months of prayerful planning, we are expecting the Lord to move in an awesome way this week. Throughout this week we aim to:
- give God thanks for His grace and keeping care towards us
- show appreciation to founding and former members for their sacrifices and efforts
- acknowledge and appreciate present members’ continued support
- launch the church into a new ministry realm
A host of special guest speakers will minister to us throughout the week, including the former pastor, Rev MD Miller, and family. Also expected are Rev Sammy Stewart (Jamaica), Bishop Michael Mitchell of New Life Tabernacle (Brooklyn, New York), Rev D Dawson, (New York), and Bishop LN Francis (Superintendent UPC GB&I).
Items will also be rendered from UPC churches birthed out of CT, including Life Tabernacle, Lighthouse Fellowship, Lighthouse Christian Ministries, to name but a few.
The Friday service will be a Singspiration service, including numbers from CT’s Mass Choir, the Conquerors’ Choir, and the Joy Bells Choir. This service will also see the launch of CT’s first live album, Steadfast, recorded in November 2008.
All in all, this promises to be a special week of thanksgiving, praise and celebration, and you are invited to join us!
