Missions Initiatives:

Calvary Temple employs the following initiatives in order to support both Home and Foreign missions endeavours:

Penny Missions

Penny Missions is a collection of pennies in a designated container.  This initiative is run on an annual basis.  The proceeds go to designated needs that are determined prior to the collection.  In 2005 £1500 was collected and sent to the Sidewalk Children project in Kingston Jamaica.

Christmas 4 Christ

Christmas For Christ is an organisation initiative for purchasing new church buildings and the maintenance of existing buildings.  The ingathering is made during the Christmas festive season. 

Compassion Offerings

Compassion offerings are special collections that are requested in times of natural disasters, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.  A special compassion offering was recently dedicated to assist the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

Mission Offerings – Monthly

These are offerings from members who have pledged to support Missions work around the world on a monthly basis.  Monies are distributed between Home and Foreign missions projects.
