Home Missions:

Altar Ministry

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28. 

Altar workers are a vital part of the altar services. The altar workers are trained to minister to needs during altar times and help pray with those who respond to the message of the preacher.  Being able to pray for someone or lead them in prayer to salvation makes being an altar worker one of the greatest joys of working in the church.

Prison Ministry

This ministry takes Calvary Temple into the prison (through the walls) and ministers to the needs of the incarcerated (a group that society often scorns and neglects), and provides support to their rehabilitation and spiritual growth.  The team conduct praise & worship sessions, bible studies, mentoring and counseling which help draw prisoners into a vital relationship with Christ - transforming their lives and futures.

HBS - Home Bible Study Ministry

This ministry is highly effective in winning souls to Christ.  If you are interested in learning more about the bible this ministry has qualified instructors who are happy to teach you in the convenience of your home. 

Calvary Temple offers two bible study course options:

• Exploring God’s Word - An in-depth, twelve lesson home Bible study course that is complimented by a 62 page full-colour chart.  It begins at Genesis and ends with Revelation.
• New Birth Experience - A two day home bible study that explains the plan of salvation.  It takes a comprehensive look at the New Testament.

Outreach Ministry - Evangelism

This ministry is designed to reach out to those in the surrounding communities with the gospel. It also provides an opportunity to inform those who are not members of Calvary Temple about what the church offers.  The outreach program consists of the following activities:

1. Distribution of tracts and church invitations
2. Street meetings
3. House to house witnessing
4. Enroll to Grow (in conjunction with Sunday school)

In-Reach Ministry

It is important that visitors feel welcome to become a part of our church body and the In-Reach Ministry provides just that.  Every individual is valued and is the focus of this ministry!  The In-reach program is where church officials and leaders meet the newcomers and visitors.

The aims of this ministry are as follows:

1. A forum for visitors to meet church authority in a more relaxed environment
2. Spend quality time to assist those with questions and needs
3. Help counsel visitors who need to know the Lord
4. Find a friend and mentor for each individual

This program is run periodically throughout the year.

Hospital Ministry

Members of the Hospital Ministry call, visit, pray for, and encourage church members who are in hospital.  This is done irrespective of whether members are in hospital for a day or for many weeks.  Members of this ministry also arrange food provisions.  It is a great way to be a blessing to someone, and at the same time receive a blessing yourself.
